Important Questions We Ask Our Clients for a Smooth and Seamless Experience
1. How do you want to *feel* in the space?
As we say: home is a feeling. We want to know exactly how you want to feel when you’re home: calm, luxurious, cozy, energized? Whatever it is, conveying that feeling is our top priority.
2. Why do you want to use a designer, and have you ever used one before?
Expectations are important! If you’ve used a designer in the past, we want to know what went well and what didn’t. We also need to know what the expectation is when working with us, so we’re on the same page.
3. Who are the key decision makers in this project?
We want this to be as smooth as possible. Knowing who is allowed to put the final stamp of approval on design and budget choices is a key component of a seamless process.
4. What is your budget & spending appetite for certain items?
There is a LOT to budget. We need to know what you prefer to splurge vs. save on, and if you HAD to choose, which is more important to you - the budget, or the end result? Sometimes, clients are willing to go over budget in order to get their dream space and other times, staying in budget is the top priority.
5. What is the best way to reach you?
With so many different forms of communication available, we all have our preferred methods for different days of the week and different times of the day. We make sure to nail this down right away to set the precedent for successful communication.
6. How involved do you want to be with the details?
Some people want to have a say in every single inch-down to choosing which tile is placed where, and some want to simply see and approve the design choices and leave us to the rest. Either way, we need to know in order to set the tone for smooth communication.
